Ranbyoshi: The climax of the Ranbyoshi dance. The shite turns and points to the bell as though to strike it. Instead she loosens the strings on her dancing cap, strikes it from her head with a blow from her fan, and goes to stand immediately below the bell.

Chorus: Up to the bell she stealthily creeps, pretending to go on with her dance.

(She holds her fan and looks at the bell)

This loathsome bell, now I remember it!

(She swings the fan back and forth like a bell-hammer)
