Below, Hamlet and Horation discuss the play within the play that will occur in Act 3 Scene 2. Note the pieces from the hinadan:
Act 5 Scene 2: Hamlet and Laertes will fight before the entire assembled court assembled on the hinadan dressed in Heian court costumes. Claudius and Gertrude are at the top in the positions of Emperor and Empress. What is anachronistic in this scene? How might it reflect Ninagawa's committment to visual spectacle over all else?
