An Ubume with a nagare kanjo (consecratiion cloth into which you pour water) set up to pacify her spirit. According to Satoko Shimazaki, the original Yotsuya Kaidan performance may have included a nagare kanjo from which the ghost of Oiwa emerged (Edo Kabuki in Transition, pp. 194-95).
