On his way home, the fox-priest comes across the snare that the trapper had thrown away, with some bait (a fried rat) still in it. Fearful, but overcome with curiousity and desire for the fried rat, the fox-priest cautiously approaches the snare. In this scene, the actor must convey the fox personality beginning to take over the human personality. As desire for the fried rat confuses and excites the fox, he becomes less and less human.
