REQUIREMENTS: 2 midterms (25% each) Attendance and Participation: In this class your class preparation is an extremely important part of learning how to read and analyze texts. Each student will be expected to come to class with assigned material read, translated, and grammatically analyzed. Student recitation and analysis will be a part of virtually every class period. You will be awarded 2 points per class based on attendance and participation, and for a total of 60 points (6% of your grade). Missing class automatically deducts 1 point. You are allowed one “pass” for lack of preparation, and after that 1 point is deducted each time for not being prepared. Making mistakes is not a problem; not trying is! You will be awarded 1 point for each Google Docs editing assignment (grammar and translation), for 4% of your grade. I reserve the right to change point/percentage distribution based on what works for the class.
