CFP for small grants on Digital Cultures

Call for Proposals

PAPR@UCI is a collaboration between Intel’s People and Practices
Research group and a number of UCI faculty, coordinated by the
Departments of Anthropology and Informatics. We have a block of funds available for small seed grants in the broad area of the Cultures of Digital Media. Proposals are invited from both faculty and graduate students for requests in the range $3000-$5000 for funds to be expended this academic year.

Proposals should comprise: – a description of the research activities and timeline (max. 1 age,
11pt, 1” margins); – a brief bio statement for the investigator; – a breakdown of the budget request; – a supporting statement from a faculty sponsor, in the case where the investigator is a student.

Funded proposals will be asked to produce a brief proposal abstract suitable for a web presence, and to submit a 1-2 page final report at the conclusion of their project.

Submission materials are due electronically, by November 7 2008, to papr@uci.edu.

Please address any queries to papr@uci.edu.
